If you are in need of a lightweight, rugged, roomy and protective laptop backpack then you need to check out our KAMPUS backpacks, They offer a lot of storage space featuring a design that is unique blend of backpack and dufflebag, giving you a large center section where you can pack with books, sneakers, cables - pretty much anything. Then we added a dedicated super-cush padded laptop pocket. It's such a versatile backpack - great for carrying books to and from class, or clothes to the gym or for gigging DJ's with lots of chords and accessories (like mics and headphones). The KAMPUS comes in 2 sizes, the smaller 16 inch version is a great bag for laptops between 14 and 16 inches and the 18 inch bag is perfect for most all 17 inch and 18 in laptops. The "flip-top" cover and drawstring cinch string makes it easy to access what you have stored in the bag, and the outside has 5 zipper pockets that are ideal for phones, change, keys and other small stuff you carry every day. On the outside bottom of the bag are two hard plastic underbelly runners to provide additional protection for your laptop.
When you buy directly from SLAPPA you automatically qualify for our Lifetime Replacement Program. If in the first year you have any issue due to manufacturers defect we repair or replacement the item at no charge. If ANYTIME after the first year, for ANY reason you have a problem with the bag, we will replace it for only 50% of the MSRP.

Very solid backpack
I like Jansport, still use Jansport and that is my baseline for a good solid backpack. I've had the 16" version of this pack about 6 months- I can fit a lot in here - I like the big open space it's very light and I like that the inside is lined (I do like that over my Jsports). For me I don't carry a laptop but there is so much padding in the laptop section that I feel safe putting my much smaller ipad in there. I hope if can last me 2-3 years.
Perfect for my Alienware m17x R3
I have to echo most everything Theodore says in his review - actually, when I read his review I decided to buy this backpack. I too had the Everki and hated it. I bought this backpack and love that it is lightweight and looks good while easily fitting the m17x R3. I do really like how much I can fit into this backpack - VERY ROOMY. I really don't need more pockets than the 7-8 this bag has. I just used it for the 3 day holiday weekend and it was perfect. I give this backpack 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.
So last year I bought the Alienware m17x R3. Having a laptop this size limits the amount of backpack choices I can have. So after a lot of research at the time, I bought the Everski Beacon. Boy was that a mistake, when I had my 2 laptops + ipad + other stuff in there for my business trip, it felt like hell carrying all that.
So after that trip I started looking for a new backpack and found the Slappa Kampus. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it distributes the weight when I loaded the backpack(exactly 34 lbs). I barely felt the weight on my back, I think the ergonomic shoulder straps helps a lot. This thing is also waterproof
I wish there was more pockets though to help me organize all my cords, peripherals, etc. :[ I'm not sure if the .25 foam padding on the laptop section is enough but just in case I will be adding in my own foam to it.
But overall this is a great buy !
Fits my Asus G73x
Have to say, this back pack is AMAZING! Though it is one of only two that I found that fit my Asus G73x, the backpack is still stylish and well built. I was expecting that the backpack would have felt awkward wearing but to my surprise, it is probably the most comfortable backpack I have worn to this date. You can count on me coming back Slappa!
Fits my Asus G75
Just picked up an Asus G75 and needed a backpack large enough to transport the laptop. After reviewing a slim amount of options, I chose the Slappa Kampus. The price was just about right, and it was on sale to boot. The construction is absolutely amazing, even beyond what I was expecting in terms of quality. Shipping was extremely fast, and the price was what made me choose this over another backpack company. I have yet to completely fill the bag, and I can see myself putting in at least a couple days worth of clothes and all necessary toiletries. The only caveats I would really like to see addressed is the fact that the people at Slappa would know I would be transporting a large laptop, yet they seemed to have skimped on the padding for the straps on the backpack. After a 20 minute hike to my friends apartment for a game session (with bare essentials), my shoulders were sore. Small problem, as most people wouldn't really be walking to class with a massive laptop; but I can see situations in which some more padding would have been a little better. Another small problem is weight balance on the bag. The front of the bag is heavier and without a laptop in place, it tends to fall forwards. Small problem, I'm just nitpicking at this point.

nice lightweight backpack
My husband loved this backpack. I bought him the 16" to hold a 15 .6" laptop and schoolbooks. The exterior materials, construction and lining are good quality. It looks great and he really likes the compartments and overall size
Fits Asus G74 laptop and looks great.
This back fits G74sx (17.3 laptop). This bag will work great if you are in college or just for the weekends travel. I can put my laptop with huge power brick, class notes, couple of clothing, and still have rooms to spare. I would recommend this case for backpack use. I am also going to purchase Slappa Kiken soon for the messanger bag purpose. I love the backpack quality and the color. I will definately recommend Kampus backpack to other gamers.
Fits my Alienware M17xR2 perfectly with lots of storage space
I got this bag for my alienware M17x R2. The reason I bought it is because I read it is one of the few bags that hold up to the weight of the m17x. Its a very strong bag and well made with a lot of room. Even with one of the biggest laptops on the market I have extra room. I am very glad I bought this bag.
Really nice backpack
I pre ordered this in May and started to get a little pissed off that they ship date moved (was originally June 1 and mine finally shipped out on June 25). I've had the 18" backpack for nearly a week now and it is a great backpack. Very lightweight but with a very well padded laptop section that fits my Asus G73 and the bag has lots of room for my books and lots of other things. I really like how the outside pockets are integrated into the design of the bag so that they are kind of "hidden". I'm glad I waited the extra time and got the bag vs. cancelling the order. Seems to be the best backpack I've come across for $80
